"I wrote 'Doboom Soom' one morning, freshman year, when I was too sad to get outta bed but could reach my guitar," explains Slumbers lead-singer Sabrina. "I was just by myself for most of the time around when I wrote that... Kinda painful and lonely but also a nice time doing something I like". And it's a good thing the New Yorker likes writing music, because this second cut from the newcomers is set to win over swathes of lo-fi, indie fans. A gorgeous, hushed vocal swims out above beautifully folky acoustic guitar-lead accompaniment with gently melancholic hints throughout.
